Takraw is gaining attention in Des Moines from Juice and the Des Moines Park and Recreation. Read "Taking on Takraw" in the July 20th issue of Juice and "Enthusiasts of Asian sport takraw ask DM for court space" in the August 6th issue of the Des Moines Register. ITF is proud to announce their partnership with the Des Moines Park and Recreation to provide the first public Takraw court in the State of Iowa at Sheridan Park. A date has not been determined for completion but will be sometime before this Fall. Pioneer Columbus Community Center will also be accommodating for Takraw practice this Winter. Future plans include a construction of two new courts at Evergreen Park which is located on the Southeast side of Des Moines where a great number of Takraw supporters and players are located.
